Luka wins U14 lvl 6 tournament, Anna takes 2nd place in first green ball U12, Nate takes 3rd place!

One of our youngest, 12 year old Luka Banic, won a lvl 6 U14 tournament on home turf in Rolland Moore. Luka's main focus in practice over the last couple months has been to not letting his emotions get the better of him and control his game. We have added tools that he can use during practice and match to regain emotional control, but also talked about philosophically how to go about his tennis and accept that tennis is a game where a lot of mistakes are being made, and that they are necessary to evolve as a player. While it is not perfect, Luka showed great improvements with his mental game and was able to regain emotional control during tough times in the matches. He had a great match in the semifinal against the no. 1 seed Brock Slauson over 2,5 hours. Congratulations on your improvements and good performances Luka, keep up the good work!

Anna & Audrey has been at it again, this time in Utah, participating in Utah state open both U10 orange ball and U12 green ball.

They met each other in the orange ball final where Anna edged it out after a close match to win the tournament. In the green ball tournament Anna made it to the final. Both girls with good performances. Great job girls!

Big brother Nate Walton takes 3rd place in U16 lvl 5 Utah state open. Nate has had 2 back to back tournaments with good performances. In the semifinal he played some of his best tennis ever taking home first set 6-0, but let his emotions get to him in the second and lost a close match tiebreak. He bounced back in his next match and took home 3rd place.

Keep your head up Nate, you have had great performances over the last two weeks and gained a lot of experience. On to the next one!
